On 18-19 February 2019, C20 hold a preparatory face-to-face meeting in
Tokyo, Japan, to discuss key elements of policy papers by each C20
Working Group and have dialogues with G20 officials.

More than 120 people attended the two-day meeting from 20 countries
(Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, China/Hong Kong,
Germany, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand,
Philippines, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, UK, U.S. and Vietnam).

On Day 1, H.E. Mr. Koji Tomita, Ambassador, G20 Sherpa, Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Japan and Mr. Yoshiki Takeuchi, Director General,
International Bureau, Ministry of Finance of Japan, made keynote
speeches, highlighting G20 Osaka Summit‘s agenda, both in Sherpa and
Finance track.

We had 8 thematic dialogues with G20 Working Groups, and more than 42
G20 officials attended the dialogues in two days.

4. G20 Environment Working Group, Energy Transition Working Group and Ministry of Environment Senior Officials Meeting

7. G20 Health Working Group
8. G20 Trade and Investment Working Group

Participants discussed policy papers in C20’s different Working Groups,
and will finalize by the end of March, in order to submit to G20
Presidency at C20 Summit, to be held in 21-23 April 2019 in Tokyo, Japan.

After the two-day preparatory face-to-face meeting, C20 hold an outreach
symposium “Towards the Future World Leaving No One Behind with Civil
Society Engagement”, in the afternoon of DAY 2.

C20 invited Mr. Kiyoto Tsuji, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign
Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Keisuke Suzuki, State Minister of Finance of
Japan, as keynote speakers, and 6 other Engagement Groups, L20 (Labour),
S20 (Science 20), T20 (Think 20), U20 (Urban 20), W20 (Women 20) and Y20
(Youth 20) gave updates towards their respective summits.
